“ Maddie & Co. really put on the Ritz for us during our wedding reception. Not only was the price *very* reasonable for the quality - all the food was exceptional and they even accommodated our favorite, Crawfish Monica, into our set menu - but the staff was also gracious in their service. The general mood was helpful, open to the adventure of trying something new. Our wedding reception was their first, but you wouldn't know it: except for a waitress accidentally interrupting the Groom's Speech. All in all, Cafe Viola ran like a well-oiled machine. Granted, things come up where human beings are involved, and weddings are not exception to the rule. There was plenty of spill-over room for guests outside on the deck, and folks really enjoyed the bands we hired to play (Excelsior outside and Mariachis inside) because they added to the general merrym.aking atmosphere. The only bit of feedback inside, was that the AC seemed to have trouble keeping up, and the men's restroom door seemed stuck closed at one point. Still, the accommodations were impeccable and Maddie was only too eager to help us every step of the way, from planning, to coordinating with at least 3 "Chiefs," to the execution of the wonderful meal and party. We very much appreciated the creativity of the Chef, esp. in putting together the red velvet cake Whoopie Pies - they were a Big Time hit! Also, C.V. was willing to work with us on brewing the coffee of our choice, keeping the public out, and setting up the rooms to our liking. Last, but certainly not least, was the amazing cake that Maddie created for us as a special surprise. It certainly exceeded out wildest imaginings, in terms of its size - and the taste was so, so good (not too sweet, just right). All in all, the cake made our wedding a true marvel and the pride of Fairhope. After a month, are still in awe at its beauty, taste, and texture. Dillon and the staff were only too gracious in storing the cake top for 3 days, freezing it, and later packaging it for us to haul away later. They are the most simpatico and kindly folks we could have chosen to work with for our most special day- a true God send!- and their coolness under the pressure of juggling such a task as their first wedding reception testifies to the commitment they share for Quality and Hospitality in the most Southern of terms. I would highly recommend Café Viola for wedding receptions for fewer than seventy-three guests. Cheers and here's to many years of health prosperous "bid'niss." Slaínte! ”

“ Great French cuisine in the heart of Fairhope! Excellent location in the heart of Fairhope for an elevated dinner. The beef Wellington was knock out good and although pricey $72 the pastry enclosed beef portion was generous and had amazing flavor especially with the Demi glacé. The bronzed grouper and risotto was also delicious and highly recommended. The bbq shrimp and bread is a great deal and be sure to ask for more bread for dipping in the sauce. We ended with pastries that the cafe makes in house to cap off a perfect evening. ”

“ Seriously we had the best time! I went with my mom and my grandmother out to Cafe Viola yesterday to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday! As a table we split the full tea service and the croque madame. Everything was delectable. The dessert treats within the full tea service were just the right amount of sweet. My favorite item was the fig macaron. It was so cute and sweet that we could pick the style tray for the tea service and the teacup too. The cafe was just the right amount of fancy without making a person feel out of place. Our waiter Julien was wonderful! He mentioned he was a little new to the job but had such a good attitude answering our questions and getting the right answer when he needed to find out something for us. He was attentive at the right times making sure we had everything we needed while giving us space to enjoy time together. He was very personable and gave the place a great vibe. ”
